Cyber Advisory Our Cyber Advisory team help our clients identify, measure and appropriately manage the cyber risks they carry. We translate the complex world of cyber security by assessing weaknesses in defences, develop strategies and roadmaps to drive up maturity, and support with the implementation of people, process and technology changes. A key area of growth in our team is the field of Data and AI Governance, and we are looking for a Senior Associate with these skills to join our team. A day in the life of a Data and AI Governance consultant in our team ranges from developing new ways to assess and control the explosive growth of AI use in our clients, assisting clients with locating and managing their sprawling data assets, applying both industry recognised and internally developed frameworks for data and AI governance, and getting hands on with metadata and information management tools to detect and control the use of critical data. Our Data and AI Governance specialists have a unique opportunity to develop data governance, AI governance, data protection and privacy, and information security skills through cross-disciplinary teaming with other Scyne Advisory Cyber & Tech Risk colleagues. Job Description The Role and Responsibilities As a Senior Associate in our Cyber Advisory team, you will create value by: Assisting in the preparation of business development materials. Leading small client engagements and providing guidance and support to other members of the team in the areas of cyber security assessment and assurance activities. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cybersecurity, data governance, and AI/ML governance risks. Evaluate and advise on compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices such as DAMA DMBOK, ISO 42001 AI Management Systems, NSW Artificial Intelligence Assessment Framework, DTA AI Technical Standard, Australian Privacy Principles, VPDSF and PSPF. Leveraging your advisory and consulting skills set to deliver high quality outcomes to our clients through a combination of hands-on delivery, and regular technical leadership and coaching to more junior members of the team. Managing the budget of small client engagements to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget. Managing a small team of consultants and providing guidance and mentoring to ensure their professional growth. Qualifications About You As a Senior Associate within Scyne Advisory, technically, you will bring to the position: 2 years of industry experience working with organisations implementing cyber security controls. A working understanding of common data governance and AI governance frameworks used by Australian state and federal government organisations (e.g. ISO27001, ISO42001, DAMA DMBOK, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, NSW AI Assessment Framework, DTA AI Technical Standard, Australian Privacy Principles etc.). A proven ability to work autonomously and deliver tasks on a project under time pressure. (Desired but not mandatory) Qualifications and certifications in recognised and relevant industry accreditations such as AWS and/or Microsoft Cloud certifications, CDMP, CIPM, CIPP/E, or AIGP.
