Key details Location: Carlton/ Hybrid Employment Type: Full-time Remuneration: $85,000 - $95,000 inclusive of Superannuation 2-year max term contract with an expectation this will transition to ongoing Salary Packaging benefits available, increase your take home pay by up to $6000 Description About the Role This generalist position offers the opportunity to step into a dynamic, varied role supporting the full employee lifecycle within a public health organisation. Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture and sitting within a solutions-focused P&C team, this is not just an administration position, you’ll play a key role in delivering responsive, high-quality HR support across the ACO. This position works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing practical trusted HR advice, contributing to a positive, high-performance culture. Accountabilities Act as a first point of contact for P&C queries, providing advice on legislation, employee relations and HR advisory matters, policies, and procedures. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across the organisation, liaising with hiring managers and candidates providing a first-class service to all stakeholders. Officiate the onboarding process of new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and they are successfully inducted into the organisation. Contribute to the management and continuous improvement of P&C processes including system enhancement, annual appraisals, policies, and employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. Support the development of engaging and factually correct e-learning content within our LMS. Maintain critical HR databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping, generating reports, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance. Support the ongoing development of our ELMO HRIS, LMS and Rostering, Time and Attendance systems, leveraging data to support informed decision making. Your experience managing HRIS, LMS, or Rostering, Time and Attendance systems will see you thrive in this role, as we continue our journey of process improvement and system optimisation. Skills and Knowledge Highly collaborative, proactive, and people focused . Ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the confidence to advise and support leaders with ER matters. Proven functional and/or generalist People & Culture experience. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use people data and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in HRIS or similar systems, ELMO preferred. Essential criteria Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR policies, employment legislation and modern awards (Health and Support Services Award). Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or certificates in HR, a related field, or demonstrated equivalent practical experience.
