The Tablelands and Mossman Dietetics team consists of the following: Atherton based (services Herberton): Senior Dietitian HP4 (1.0FTE) , Dietitian HP3 (0.61 FTE) Mareeba based (services Lotus Glen): Senior Dietitian HP4 (1.0FTE) Mossman based: Senior Dietitian HP4 (1.0FTE) About your opportunity: You will Manage an appropriate caseload using high level time management and prioritisation skills including the maintenance of accurate patient records and recording departmental statistics. Develop Dietetic clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, clinical supervision, active learning within a team environment, and engaging in professional development activities. Provide clinical education and clinical practice supervision to dietitian students and less experienced dietitians, and provide support and guidance to allied health assistants, work experience students and other relevant staff. Work cooperatively and effectively by maintaining timely and open communication (including accurate documentation and reporting) within multi-professional teams, with patients, their families/carers and other health professionals, supervisors, students, food service staff and researchers as required. Be an active and flexible participant of the nutrition and dietetic department by supporting the Director of Nutrition and Dietetics and various team leaders, with the expectation to endorse senior decision making processes.
