Make the move, Make a difference This position is located in the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service's Building, Engineering and Maintenance Service Department (BEMS). BEMS provide planning, construction, operation and Maintenance of all districts physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet Strategic Objectives within a quality environment. Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services currently consist of professional, operational, Administrative and trade staff. Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west. About your role. You will: Maintain records/reports for statutory/mandatory maintenance plans: including inspecting, auditing, recording, and reporting compliance of health infrastructure building systems Develop and maintain a close liaison with clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction and a consistently high standard of product and service delivery Follow up outstanding service reports, quotes, and rectification work that need to be completed for compliance Ensure the overall health and safety requirements of the workplace are controlled by implementing procedures for reducing the exposure to risk of injury and ensuring that Queensland Health and Workplace Health and Safety standards are maintained This role will report to the Infrastructure Compliance Manager and will be required to work collaboratively with the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services Compliance Team As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive remuneration, you will also have access to: Generous superannuation Salary packaging Annual incremental increases Career training and development Flexible work arrangements * Wellness programs Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.
