Make the move, Make a difference Department of Orthopaedics operates within the Directorate of Intensive Care, Women's & Perioperative (ICWP). This service provides elective and trauma care for the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) and the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS). As the Orthopaedic Trauma Coordinator you will work in collaboration with the Elective Surgery Unit. In this role you will: Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in perioperative orthopaedic nursing. Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills with members of the multidisciplinary health care team. Demonstrate advanced application of clinical and professional leadership while working with both autonomies yet simultaneously communicating, managing, and navigating the logistics of being a remote healthcare facility. Provide in partnership with the medical teams, clinical oversight of trauma patients in the community who are awaiting orthopaedic trauma surgery.
