Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait. About your opportunity: In this position you will: Provide clinical advice and support to the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre upon referral of offenders, in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of people with serious mental illness who are incarcerated, sentenced, or on remand. Co-ordinate and provide specialist training and professional development activities to staff working with people with a mental illness. Develop and/or review management and monitoring plans of offenders with mental health issues who are incarcerated at the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre and who are transitioning back into the community.
