To read more on what it's like to work for West Moreton Health: What it's like to work with us | West Moreton Health About the role The Registered Nurse Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS) provides contemporary, evidence-based acute mental health inpatient nursing services and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by achievement of the standards of practice and registration requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This is evidenced by educational preparation, continuing professional development, adhering to relevant legislation and the context of care. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Contemporary clinical knowledge in acute mental health inpatient service nursing, delivering competent nursing care in complex situations while providing support to other team members. Ability to provide patient and family centred care to the patient using best practice and within the standard of practice of a Registered Nurse. Ability to educate, inform, counsel and support patients and families on general and clinical information relevant to patient's care, accessing the Clinical Nurse when expert advice is required. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard. Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Ability to provide clinical education and support.
