The Senior Advisor will assist with operational service delivery activities and strategic directions across the Agency, as well as assisting in the development or enhancement of operational practices. In this role you will: - Liaise with key internal stakeholders across all areas of QCS to build productive and mutually beneficial relationships.- Provide timely guidance, advice and information in relation to QCS' operational policies and practices, including Custodial Operations Practice Directives and Operational Practice Guidelines.- Support the benchmarking, review and development of policies, procedures, instructions, and guidelines that are legislatively compliant and suitable for implementation in operational contexts and environments across QCS.- Work closely with the Principal Advisor, Operational Policy and Practice, to complete a calendar of review activities, to provide for monitoring, measuring and reporting on compliance issues arising from incorrect and ineffective application of policy or practice guidelines, and assist with subsequent recommendations for practice improvement.- Assist in the preparation of complex written submissions, accurate and easily understood policy and practice documents and other high level reports, briefings, and presentations.- Participate as part of the Operational Policy and Practice Group and assist with the development and implementation of operational strategies and plans.- Keep current with emerging trends, policies or legislation that will impact QCS operational frameworks, policies and practices, and escalate or risk-mitigate accordingly.- Manage internal quality management system processes including document control, data management and policy/practice revisions to ensure OPPG meets legislative and agency standards.- Support the knowledge sharing, learnings, and strong partnerships across QCS and other Policy stakeholders, such as the Strategic Futures Command, Strategic Policy Group, to help ensure synergies and understanding of organisation wide Policy frameworks, and directives.
