Key competencies (role specific criteria): You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: A demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise and skills within a multi-skilled laboratory. Availability to participate in a multidisciplinary team on a 24/7 continuous shift roster as required including weekends, public holidays, and extra shifts when necessary. Reliability and punctuality to ensure uninterrupted pathology service provision 24/7. Well-developed communication skills and ability to contribute positively to a team environment while ensuring the delivery of a high-quality testing service. Demonstrated ability to provide scientific advice and provision of results to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision. Experience in the use of software systems including a Laboratory Information System (AUSLAB), Unity, a Quality Information System, Microsoft Office 365. Ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
