As a Principal Advisor you will: - Provide expert advice and services to managers and senior executive on employee and industrial relations matters including interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments, policies, directives, systems and practices.- Undertake research and analysis of employee and industrial relations matters for the purposes of enterprise bargaining and related activities.- Participate in consultation and negotiations with key stakeholders, departmental work units, professional associations, employer representatives and central agencies.- Coordinate projects with a specific focus on industrial relations outcomes associated with enterprise bargaining, including for example, the development and evaluation of departmental policy and procedures related to enterprise bargaining matters.- Prepare and present high level discussion papers, correspondence, briefing material and advice on a range of complex employment relations issues associated with enterprise bargaining to internal and external key stakeholders.- Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes, ensuring adherence to deadlines without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.- Establish and maintain networks and liaise with officers from other agencies, unions and other external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary employee and industrial relations matters.- Help to solve problems through generating options and identifying relevant risks and mitigation strategies.- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Director or nominated delegate.- There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however we value relevant experience in enterprise bargaining and/or tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, business or human resources.
