Client Details We are partnering with a leading organisation in the building products sector to appoint a strategic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer in this critical period of growth. This is a critical executive role where you will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and SLT in driving operational performance across a complex and growing international business. Description Reporting to the CEO, you will partner closely with the senior leadership team to help shape and execute financial strategies that drive both local and international business objectives. Other key responsibilities will include the following: Oversee the financial management and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to drive informed decision-making. Prepare and present monthly board packs, including key performance indicators Provide strategic financial analysis for capital investments, pricing, and contract negotiations. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Provide strategic advice to the executive team, contributing to overall business strategy and planning. Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring sustainable growth. Oversee cash flow management and optimise financial performance. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve organisational goals. Profile A successful Chief Financial Officer (CFO) should have: CPA/CA qualified with tertiary-level accounting credentials. Previous experience working in a similar CFO or Finance Director position ideally within the Building Products or Construction sectors. Strong expertise in P&L management, cashflow forecasting, and risk mitigation. Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills; experience working with a large ERP Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Solid understanding of Australian financial reporting and compliance requirements and FX hedging strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
