The Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project team is seeking expressions of interest to fill the Secretariat and Project Support Officer position within Delivery – Places and Spaces. Infrastructure Canberra is responsible for the planning and redevelopment of the Canberra Theatre Centre, including the design development and delivery of the new Canberra Lyric Theatre. As a nationally significant large-scale and complex project, the goal of the Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project is to establish a fit-for-purpose theatre complex for the Territory. This is an exciting role on a key priority project for Government. The Secretariat and Project Support Officer provides secretariat and administrative support for the Project. The primary duties for this position are: Provide secretariat functions for project related governance groups, including scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting papers, minute taking, recording and tracking the status of action items, coordinating, preparing, and distributing documentation from meetings. Provide administrative support to the Project Director and the Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project Senior Leadership team, including diary management, arranging meetings, booking travel, processing accounts using the APIAS finance system, reconciling expenditure and other business support needs as required. Under limited direction, provide support to the Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project Team to draft, collate and produce information for government business requests, including presentations and written reports. In addition, the Secretariat and Project Support Officer may be required to assist other projects with secretariat support, development, implementation and management of their respective Project Governance Frameworks. Eligibility/Other requirements: Desirable: A good working knowledge of Objective, SharePoint and Aconex would be an advantage. Previous experience in a secretariat or coordination role would be advantageous, but not necessary. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 19 January 2026 for a period of 12 months.
