MUFG Retirement Solutions, business unit of MUFG Pension and Market Services is seeking a skilled Information Security Specialist to act as a trusted advisor for one of our key clients. This is a hands-on role focused on strengthening security governance, managing risk, and enhancing defence and response capabilities across hybrid Cloud and On-Premises environments. About the Role In this position, you’ll provide expert guidance on security best practices, threat modelling, and vulnerability management. You’ll partner closely with client stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure the design and implementation of effective security controls aligned with MUFG Pension & Market Services global security strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate security professional with a diverse technical background and deep understanding of frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, and COBIT. In this role you will be responsible to: Act as the primary information security interface between business and the client, building strong and trusted relationships with senior leaders. Support the development and execution of the global security strategy and roadmap. Strengthen information security governance, risk management, and compliance across client platforms. Provide expert input into security design, and technology roadmaps. Partner with IT development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to drive secure-by-design practices. Communicate security threats, vulnerabilities and risk observations clearly and effectively. Manage risks associated with information security which may impact clients and ensure that the business and client are aware of and compliant with all relevant regulation within the various jurisdictions it operates in. What you'll bring: Strong technical capability, strategic thinking, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines. Minimum 5 years in information security operations, governance, or risk management with exposure to large financial services environments highly regarded Strong understanding of frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO27001, technologies including Intrusion Detection, Anti-virus/anti-malware, Database Activity Monitoring, Data Loss Prevention, Penetration Testing, Firewalls & Security Log management tools Hands-on experience with technologies including intrusion detection, DLP, anti-malware, firewalls, and SIEM tools. Experience conducting IT security and risk assessments (CPS234 exposure advantageous). Proven ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns and propose pragmatic solutions.
