Systems Accountant (Xero) | Brisbane CBD | $85K Super | Hybrid Flexibility Are you an experienced Accountant with a passion for systems, problem-solving and process improvement? We’re partnering with a highly regarded professional services business based in the Brisbane CBD who are looking for a Systems Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This permanent role offers hybrid working arrangements after probation and the option to work full time or 4 days per week (0.8 FTE) — perfect for someone seeking balance without compromising on career growth. About the Role In this role, you’ll take ownership of system implementations, data transitions and process improvements across a diverse client base. You’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining high-quality accounting systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting teams through periods of change or growth. This position suits someone who enjoys both the technical and operational sides of accounting — someone who’s equally comfortable digging into data as they are working closely with internal stakeholders and clients. What You’ll Do Lead and manage end-to-end financial system conversions and integrations Oversee accurate data migration with minimal disruption to operations Configure and refine systems such as Xero, to optimise performance Assist with onboarding new clients and preparing historical data for clean transitions Support reconciliations, catch-up accounting, and process clean-ups Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to identify and deliver improvements Provide training and guidance on system use and best practice What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related area Strong technical understanding of Xero and associated platforms Demonstrated experience in system conversions or data migrations Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach Excellent communicator who enjoys working with both internal teams and clients Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Why You’ll Love It Salary of $85,000 Superannuation Hybrid work model after probation Full time or 4 days per week option available Friendly, inclusive team culture Long-term, stable position within a business that values innovation and continuous improvement If you’re an accountant who enjoys technology, transformation projects and variety in your day-to-day, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career.
