Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to provide expert FBT leadership, strengthen GL integrity, and uplift financial accounting policy, reporting and controls within a busy government finance team. You’ll work autonomously in Corporate Finance, partnering across the business to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outcomes. Rate: $76.50 per hour super Location: Brisbane, CBD Contract Length: 17 Nov 2025 – 30 Jun 2026, possible 6-month extension What you’ll do Act as SME for taxation with a key focus on Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). Ensure integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers through critical review and remediation. Contribute to development, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies, procedures, methodologies, systems and reporting. Prepare technical position papers on financial accounting matters. Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to meet organisational objectives. What you’ll bring Extensive experience in FBT preparation and reporting, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a collaborative team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. CPA (or equivalent) highly desirable.
