As Unit Manager Community Infrastructure Delivery , you'll be responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of major community facilities and associated infrastructure. You'll manage contracts, ensure design excellence, and champion sustainable solutions across all projects. You'll lead a team of professional project managers and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. Leading a team of 10, you'll find yourself helping others achieve their outcomes whist also attending to your responsibilities, which include: Key responsibilities include: Leading the planning, design, and delivery of major community infrastructure projects within budget, timeframes, and sustainability goals. Managing and motivating a high-performing project team, ensuring optimal resource allocation and staff development. Ensuring compliance with Council systems, frameworks, and regulatory requirements, including strong project governance. Championing design excellence and sustainability through rigorous review processes and design expertise. Acting as contract superintendent for major works, overseeing procurement and contract management. Building and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and manage community engagement to support project outcomes. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for achieving community outcomes. As a leader, you'll bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to infrastructure delivery. The position will require the following: Tertiary qualifications in engineering (preferred) or similar qualification Registration under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 (preferred) White Card (Construction Industry OHS Induction Training) Current driver's licence 10 years' experience in capital infrastructure delivery, ideally in local government Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and sustainable design practices Proven experience in contract and project management frameworks.
