Compass Recruitment are currently working with a leading national engineering company in their search for Structural engineers across Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Adelaide. The client works on a whole range of projects across Aviation, Aquatic, Education, Health Care, Justice & Emergency, Community and Residential sectors. In this role, under the guidance of the Leadership team, you will be tasked with: • Undertake detailed analysis of various structural designs including industrial, community, commercial building structures and infrastructure. • Work collaboratively within project teams, including Architects, Services Engineers, Contractors and other key stakeholders. • Provide construction phase services. • Perform investigative inspections and report writing. • Utilise various software packages for structural analysis. • Review and interpret project inputs, such as architectural and services documentation, surveys, and other client inputs. • Meet project timeframes and budgets. • Be motivated in self-learning activities. • Take on some project and financial management responsibilities for key projects. To be suitable for the role you will need; • Bachelor (or Master) of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural with advanced knowledge in structural engineering or 3-10 years of experience • Strong team player with client and project lead abilities • Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets • Sound knowledge of relevant legal requirements, current codes of practice and industry best practices • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated progress towards Chartered Status is advantageous • Experience in project delivery within Australia is advantageous.
