DXC.com The PC Device Refresh Co-Ordinator & Deployment Technician is a hybrid role responsible for both the strategic coordination and the hands-on delivery of end-user computing device refresh programs. The role ensures the smooth planning, scheduling, deployment, and retirement of devices in accordance with organizational standards, while providing a high-quality end-user experience. This position plays a critical part in reducing downtime, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining accurate asset records across the enterprise. Citizenship or Perm Residency is a requirement for security reasons. Planning & Coordination Develop, maintain, and deliver the device refresh schedule in alignment with business priorities. Conduct site readiness assessments, verify asset inventories, and confirm user requirements. Coordinate procurement, delivery, imaging, and staging of devices. Liaise with business units to schedule deployments with minimal disruption. Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for refresh activities. Stakeholder Management & Communication Act as the main point of contact for all refresh program communications. Provide clear instructions and expectations to end-users prior to deployment. Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and department managers to meet deadlines. Technical Deployment & Support Image and configure new devices according to organizational policies. Install required software, configure network settings, and apply security standards. Perform user data migration, profile transfer, and functional validation. Provide on-site and remote support during the refresh process. Decommission and securely wipe old devices in compliance with security and environmental guidelines. Monitoring, Reporting & Quality Assurance Track progress against deployment schedules and escalate risks or issues. Maintain accurate device records in the organization’s asset management system. Produce regular status reports, including deployment metrics and user feedback. Conduct post-deployment quality checks to confirm system readiness. Continuous Improvement Gather end-user and stakeholder feedback to improve deployment processes. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the refresh experience. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and enterprise software. Hands-on experience with device imaging tools (SCCM, Intune, MDT). Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Asset Management systems (e.g., ServiceNow). Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in IT support, desktop deployment, or IT coordination roles. Demonstrated experience with large-scale device refresh or deployment projects. Understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and disposal processes. UTIL Foundation certification (desirable). Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A, Microsoft MCP (advantageous). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely and accurate completion of scheduled refreshes. User satisfaction levels post-deployment. Accuracy of asset data in tracking systems. Reduction in post-refresh incidents or downtime. Compliance with security and disposal requirements.
