We’re seeking a Security Engineer who’s passionate about cyber defence, enjoys solving complex security challenges, and thrives in a collaborative, high-trust environment. In this role, you’ll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of technical experts and security professionals to define, implement, and verify security controls across a large-scale, cutting-edge system. You’ll contribute directly to the security accreditation process—shaping a secure and resilient platform that meets stringent government standards. What You’ll Do Support the Security Architect in identifying and defining security controls. Assess threats, risks, and security impacts to guide the design of secure system solutions. Coordinate with engineers to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain security documentation in line with PSPF and ISM frameworks. Verify that system components align with key security principles and accreditation goals. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in cyber security risk assessment, security architecture, and control design across ICT or OT environments. Strong understanding of Essential Eight and ISM compliance requirements. Experience supporting security accreditation for large-scale government or classified systems . Hands-on knowledge of Commonwealth security policies and secure environment operations. Desirable Skills Exposure to AWS PROTECTED Cloud and ACSC cloud assessment frameworks . Experience with infrastructure as code , network and security monitoring tools. Knowledge of security incident management and lifecycle processes.
