You will be responsible for administrative support of clinical activities under the Senior Medical Officer. You will manage and lead a team that supports reception, benefit optimisation (Medicare/PIP), transport and patient journeys to offsite health services. You will ensure clinical systems and infrastructure are in place and deliver a best practice health service. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and administrative management. Please note that this role does not deliver front line clinical services and thus qualification in a healthcare profession is not essential. This role will work alongside the Clinical Manager to support efficient operations Job details: Up to $173,175.83 total package (single) Up to $176,175.83 total package (family) Housing and district allowance provided subject to eligibility Annual airfare (after 12 months of continuous service) Electricity allowance paid over 10 summer pay periods Permanent full time position Monday to Friday, no weekends! Generous salary sacrifice options available Role Responsibilities Managing the reception team to ensure culturally safe, private, accurate and efficient patient check in and patient profiles (biographics data) Ensure effective and efficient processes in place to arrange and advise patient of appointments maximizing attendance rates Lead the coordination of patient journey services, advocating for our patients to WACHS PATS and other relevant services, and ensuring time to effectively advise and transport patients to and from their journey Deliver improvements to the management of local patient transfer services to clinics, optimising driver allocation and task completion Manage the planning of clinics of various internal and external providers who attend to deliver health services to patients Remain abreast of Medicare, Practice Incentive Payments and any other non-grant benefit that may arise relevant to clinical activities. Ensure communication to SMO and management of any changes. Coordinate opportunities for staff education on the optimisation of Medicare and PIP payments In consultation with the Senior Medical Officer, lead the implementation of improvements to Medicare items /PIP / other benefits relevant to the area Work alongside Clinical Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure data governance in place for Communicare. To ensure data quality, security, and compliance, ultimately improving the reliability and trustworthiness of the data. The Practice Manager has administrator rights for Communicare, ensuring compliance with procedures on changes made to any aspect of Communicare As part of data governance, review and undertake audits on data entry, data in systems and supporting clinical audits About the health service This fantastic health service is a leading primary healthcare provider for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people serving around 3,000 people annually through its accredited clinic per year. To be eligible you must: Relevant tertiary education or certificate 4 competence alongside significant demonstrated work experience Consent to undergo a Western Australian Working with Children Check and a National Criminal History Check.
