The Role OCTIEF, part of ALS Global , operates a NATA-accredited laboratory offering asbestos analysis services and currently has a vacancy for a full-time Laboratory Technician . This is a hands-on role preparing and analysing asbestos samples in a fast-paced environment, with full training provided. The Day to Day: Accurately register and assign samples in the LIMS system Prepare samples for asbestos analysis and operate microscopes Enter results and generate Certificates of Analysis Perform general administration (scanning, photocopying, sorting, filing) Maintain laboratory cleanliness and conduct stocktaking Work collaboratively with your team and support other tasks as requested The Essentials: Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with MS Office suite Current valid driver’s licence Willingness to undergo Working with Children, Criminal, and Employment health checks Working at ALS The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
