This unique role combines aircraft operations and maintenance , offering a chance to work with cutting-edge vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) technology in dynamic environments. This role is based in Australia & includes international travel. Overview Key Responsibilities Operate the Airbus Flexrotor UAS (Australia & Internationally) in accordance with company procedures, aviation regulations, and safety standards. Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure mission readiness and safe operations. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on airframe, propulsion, avionics, and payload systems. Manage mission planning, airspace coordination, and operational risk assessments. Record and report technical data, maintenance logs, and flight hours. Support integration of new payloads, software updates, and system modifications. Contribute to continuous improvement in operational procedures, training, and safety practices. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a UAS pilot and/or aviation technician (civil or military background preferred). Familiarity with VTOL UAS operations or conventional aviation operations. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, avionics troubleshooting, and systems integration. Mechanical/electrical trade qualification or aerospace/aviation maintenance certification (advantageous). Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to operational demands.
