The Health and Community Services directorate has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated officer to join the Ministerial and Government Services Team as the Directorate Liaison Officer (DLO). DLOs are embedded within the Minister’s Office and act as a central contact and coordination point between ministerial staff and the directorate, whilst also working with stakeholders across government. This provides DLOs with unique opportunities to develop networks and build working relationships with key contacts broadly in ACT government. To be successful in the role you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a sound understanding of government process while being responsive and adaptable to ever changing priorities. You will have the chance to showcase your organisational skills, whilst being afforded opportunities to lead through application of sound judgements and problem solving as you monitor and manage business over a range of matters ensuring quality and timeliness of service. Please note this role also includes an attractive DLO Allowance, which is 7% of the fortnightly rate of pay for the employee’s classification calculated on ordinary hours worked in that fortnight, paid fortnightly in arrears.
