The Role As the cropping farmhand, your duties will include, but not be limited to operating tractors for tillage, planting, ripping, cultivating, spraying, fertiliser spreading, and hay making. You will also set up, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems, including pumps and valley centre pivots. Assisting with grain handling and milling operations is part of the role, along with performing general repairs and maintenance on tractors, implements, and other farm machinery. You will occasionally assist with feedlot feeding and general farm duties. Additionally, it is important to maintain accurate records of fieldwork, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance. The role is primarily Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work may be required depending on operational needs. The Offer The candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate that will be based on their skills and experience. An on-site work vehicle will be provided, along with the necessary tools and equipment to perform the job. The property is situated just 10 kilometres from the charming rural town of Allora, known as "the friendliest town on the downs." It is also 26 kilometres from the larger centre of Warwick and 71 kilometres from Toowoomba.
