About the Team The Development team manages the complete development lifecycle for utility-scale solar and storage projects, from initial site identification through to financial close and construction handover. About the Role You will be responsible for managing the development of utility-scale solar farms and co-located battery energy storage systems from early-stage development through to ready-to-build status. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the development of utility-scale solar farms and battery energy storage projects from concept through to financial close Identifying and securing suitable sites for solar and storage development through land acquisition and lease negotiations Managing planning approval processes including development applications, environmental assessments, and community consultation Coordinating grid connection applications and managing relationships with TNSPs, DNSPs, and AEMO Leading environmental and technical studies including ecological assessments, traffic studies, and heritage investigations Managing stakeholder relationships including landowners, local councils, government agencies, and community groups Coordinating with technical consultants on design optimisation, yield assessments, and feasibility studies Supporting due diligence processes for project financing and investment decisions Managing project budgets, timelines, and development milestones Preparing project documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors Contributing to site selection strategies and pipeline development activities Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the development process About the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate brings significant experience in renewable energy project development with specific expertise in solar farms and energy storage projects. Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate complex development processes across multiple stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
