Opportunity We’re looking for an enthusiastic Piggery Attendant to join our farming team. This position is perfect for someone wanting to further develop their career in agriculture or agriscience . You’ll build on your knowledge in livestock production by working alongside experienced farm staff, learning all aspects of pig care, livestock production, and animal welfare, with the chance to engage in clear development opportunities. Reporting to the Farm Manager , this role is based close to Toowoomba, QLD on one of our leading Queensland Research Farms. The purpose of this role is to be a key player in keeping our pigs healthy, happy and well cared for. Become a part of a supportive and knowledegable farm team Description About the Role: Feed, monitor and care for pigs to ensure top-notch animal health and welfare Carry out health checks, administer treatments and follow vaccination programs as advised Maintain clean pens, equipment and facilities to the highest standards Record animal health and production data accurately Learn and apply biosecurity and safety practices Skills And Experiences About You: 1-2 years of experience as a farm hand within a piggery or similar role Passionate about animal welfare and agriculture A positive can-do attitude paired with a keenness to learn, develop and progress within the company Availability to work weekends and public holidays when needed Physical fitness and comfortable hands-on farm work SunPork Group is an equal opportunity employer.
