Summary Our client, Hillcroft Farms is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pig Farmer to join their team in Lol Gray, Western Australia. This is a hands-on role suited for someone passionate about animal welfare, productivity, and maintaining the highest standards of livestock farming. As a Pig Farmer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care, breeding, and management of pigs to ensure their health and optimal production levels in line with biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards. Benefits A competitive salary package Full-time stable employment in a regional WA setting Supportive and experienced team environment Opportunity to work with modern facilities and contribute to sustainable farming practices Tasks and responsibilities -Daily feeding, watering, and monitoring of pigs - Monitoring pig health, administering vaccinations and medication as required - Assisting in breeding programs, including artificial insemination and farrowing supervision - Cleaning and maintaining pig pens, sheds, and equipment - Recording animal data including weight, health status, and reproduction records - Identifying and reporting signs of illness or distress - Ensuring compliance with animal welfare, environmental, and biosecurity regulations - Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment - Maintaining hygiene and safety standards at all times Qualification and experience - At least 2 years' full-time experience in commercial pig farming or a relevant livestock management role - Sound knowledge of pig handling, breeding, and husbandry practices - Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor and potentially dirty or noisy environments - Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a small team - Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required - Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) - Current Driver's Licence Desirable Qualifications - A degree or higher in Agriculture or Animal Husbandry (preferred but not essential) About the Company Hillcroft Farms is a family-owned, diversified agricultural enterprise located at 1561 Yornaning Road, Lol Gray, Western Australia. The farm manages over 3,000 hectares of cropping, including barley, oats, canola, and hay.
