They're looking for a remuneration specialist or HR analyst who thrives on turning complexity into clarity - someone who knows their way around Excel, PowerQuery, and remuneration modelling and is ready to influence decision-making at the highest levels. About the Role This isn't your average HR analytics job. You'll lead key activities that shape the remuneration of Australia's international missions, including: Running annual remuneration reviews across more than 100 overseas posts. Working with actuarial data and market intel to recommend salary and benefits adjustments. Owning and refining a sophisticated Excel/PowerQuery-based remuneration model. Ensuring data integrity, documentation, and audit-readiness throughout. Procuring and integrating market benchmarking data from external providers. Coordinating global salary surveys, tracking participation and analysing responses. Delivering clear, evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders. Collaborating with overseas teams to bring local context to your recommendations. Representing the agency in discussions with third-party data providers. About You : Strong technical capability in Excel (PowerQuery essential) and analytical modelling. Experience working with remuneration data, HR analytics, or workforce metrics. A knack for storytelling with numbers - delivering insights stakeholders can trust. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior decision-makers. Ideally, experience working in government, large-scale HR functions, or complex global environments.
