Bellgrove Pork, an industry-leading commercial piggery located just 20 minutes northwest of Kingaroy, is seeking dedicated Pig Farmers and Senior Piggery Stockpersons to join our team and support the care and management of our 1,000-sow operation. 1/ Pig Farmers Manage pig breeding, feeding, and nutrition to ensure efficient pork production. Monitor pig health and welfare, applying biosecurity, vaccination, and treatment programs. Supervise daily piggery operations, including cleaning pens, handling pigs, and maintaining housing and equipment. Oversee water supply, feed provision, and fodder management to support herd condition. Maintain accurate farm records, monitor herd performance, and align production with market demand. Lead and train piggery staff, and use farm technology to improve efficiency. Assist with sale, and transport of pigs and products, and support farm financial management. 2/ Senior Piggery Stockpersons Manage pig breeding programs and oversee the rearing of piglets to ensure herd productivity. Monitor the health, nutrition, and welfare of pigs, and administer treatments, vaccinations, and biosecurity measures. Develop and implement feeding plans and manage pastures or feed supplies for pig production. Supervise day-to-day piggery operations including handling, farrowing, weaning, and drenching of pigs. Oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of pig housing, pens, sheds, and farm infrastructure. Lead, train, and coordinate pig farmers and contractors, while using data systems to track herd performance and improve efficiency. General Requirements For Senior Piggery Stock Persons, need to have relevant AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience At least 1-2 years of relevant experience Experience in farrowing and joining (advantageous but not required) Hardworking and reliable team player Willingness to learn and follow procedures Ability to work in a physical, outdoor environment Strong attention to animal welfare General Benefits Full-time permanent contract.
