The Employer & Role Your employer is a family-run operation located in Berriwillock, Victoria, covering 4,700 hectares dedicated to growing wheat, barley, vetch, chickpeas, and lentils. They also manage a herd of Merino ewes. The business is family-oriented and has a strong presence in the community; they believe in work-life balance and will offer career development opportunities. They are seeking someone, ideally with cropping experience, to join their existing team in a long-term position. The role involves participating in all aspects of the cropping cycle and performing various machinery operations. This position offers diverse tasks related to both cropping and sheep farming. Machinery operation will be a significant part of the role, utilising a modern fleet that includes self-propelled boom sprayers, headers, and tractors, a multi-combination (MC) licence would be advantageous for the role. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conduct farm maintenance are also important qualities for the ideal candidate. The Offer The salary is negotiable based on the successful applicant's skills. Various accommodation options are available on or off farm, and a work vehicle will be provided. Berriwillock is a close-knit wheat farming community with many young families, located conveniently halfway between Bendigo and Mildura. The town boasts a brand-new park, a seasonal swimming pool, and opportunities for social tennis and lawn bowls. The annual rodeo attracts crowds of up to 4,000 people and is a fantastic family event. For education, students can take a bus to nearby Sea Lake, which is approximately 20 kilometres from the town center. There are also several small townships in the surrounding area, all waiting to be explored.
