About the role As a DevOps Engineering Team Lead, you’ll play a hands-on role in technical delivery, team leadership, and customer engagement. This is primarily a leadership role with strong technical and customer-facing skills — you’ll communicate effectively with both technical teams and customers, guiding solutions, managing backlogs, and ensuring high-quality delivery. The focus is on DevOps engineering across cloud platforms AWS, with strong experience in automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code. What you’ll do Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all DevOps Engineering activities to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery. Manage customer and AC3 technical backlogs, ensuring requests are completed efficiently. Act as a point of escalation for high-priority technical and business issues. Oversee onboarding/offboarding of customers and team members, ensuring tools, training, and documentation are in place. Maintain compliance with AC3 service levels and ensure individual & team utilisation rates meet targets. Collaborate with CloudOps, Solutions Architecture, and Sales teams to deliver outcomes that exceed client expectations. What you’ll bring 5 years’ experience in customer-facing DevOps or cloud engineering roles. 3 years enterprise experience working with AWS Proven experience leading and developing teams, linking individual performance to business objectives. Hands-on DevOps experience with tools such as AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, CloudFormation, and scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby. Experience in Windows and Linux environments and supporting multiple customers across platforms. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Agile experience and familiarity with service management tools, preferably ServiceNow. Experience in Managed Services Provider or Systems Integrator/Consulting environments is highly desirable.
