About the Role: As Design Manager, you’ll play a critical role in managing and coordinating the structural design across multiple major high-rise developments. You’ll oversee consultant performance, ensure constructability, and drive cost and program efficiency, all while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and quality. Key Responsibilities: Manage delivery and coordination of structural design documentation from external consultants Oversee and facilitate collaboration between engineers and architects Review consultant designs for compliance with local codes and company construction methodologies Identify value engineering opportunities to optimise costs and timelines Provide construction-focused technical support, solving complex issues Manage tenders and review documentation Monitor and track design documentation against construction programs About You: Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with local experience (required) 7 years’ experience in engineering or design management roles, ideally with a top-tier developer Full-cycle experience on high-rise or mid-rise residential buildings essential In-depth understanding of Australian construction practices for multi-storey residential developments Strong structural knowledge in RC, PT, precast, and steel construction Experienced with engineering software including ETABS, Inducta, RAPT, and RAM Concept Adept at managing consultants and working in a fast-paced, high-output team environment Clear communicator with strong commercial awareness, especially around cost/time impacts Experience with contract management, monthly claims and variation processes Why Join?
