We are urgently seeking an experienced Policy Manager or Government Relations Manager with extensive experience in Parliamentary or Ministerial Offices. This role is a 10-month parental leave contract and offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects in a dynamic environment. As Policy Manager for ANZ, reporting to the Head of Public Policy, you will lead the development and execution of geo-specific campaigns to strengthen the clients' legitimacy and advocacy in the region. Your role will focus on crafting data-driven strategies in collaboration with local teams, defining policy priorities, and ensuring measurable progress. You will work cross-functionally, aligning campaign plans with business goals and effectively communicating with senior leaders to manage expectations. Externally, you will represent this company at senior political levels, building and maintaining relationships with government officials and coalitions to support advocacy efforts. What We Are Seeking: 10 years of experience in a political, policy, or government role, ideally focused on developing or implementing government policy. Deep understanding of government operations, including political and parliamentary processes. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, staying highly organized and focused on achieving strategic goals. Experience in regulatory compliance and the development of post-law implementation strategies. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and regulatory issues and apply a variety of campaigning strategies to address them. Resilience in fast-paced environments, with the capacity to prioritise competing tasks effectively. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with senior stakeholders. Senior experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or public affairs within a corporate setting. Tertiary qualifications in law or public policy. Public policy experience in the housing, tourism, or technology sectors. Urgently Recruiting!
