As a Policy Officer, you will support the delivery of agency-wide projects, policy research, and administrative functions within the Hospital Policy and Projects section. The key duties of the position include This position supports policy research and development, and project administration functions within the Hospital Policy and Projects section. The Policy Officer's role is to: Support the section's Policy Managers and Director with the delivery of agency wide projects and refinements to the pricing of public hospital services, health system research, and policy. This includes: Drafting ministerial, committee and other papers and correspondence within the timeframes determined by the CEO and Executive Director. Undertaking research to support policy proposals o assisting in the management of specific policy projects as part of the section responsibilities and all other matters as they arise. Communicate clearly and concisely to a high standard, both in writing and verbally, and adapt technical information appropriately for the target audience. Possess, or be able to obtain, an understanding of legislation and policy relating to hospital funding and IHACPA's work. Managing record-keeping of communication and providing administrative support to the section's Policy Managers and Director with the delivery of projects and procurement. Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Other tasks as delegated by the Policy Manager or Director
