About the Role This contract RD Writer role supports the clarity and precision of workforce documentation across business units. You will elevate job design by ensuring alignment with capability frameworks, improving governance, and bolstering job evaluation processes. It’s a unique opportunity to apply specialist writing skills during a period of transformation to drive organisational agility. 2x Role Description Writers – $60–$75/hr super Location: 231 Elizabeth St, hybrid (1–2 days in office or as required) Start Date: ASAP, pending checks Duration: 4 months, with potential extension Key Responsibilities Draft, review and refine position descriptions for accuracy and structure Engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to inform role content Apply capability frameworks and naming conventions for consistency Provide advice on role design and job evaluation best practices Maintain role description library and manage document control processes Support job evaluations and facilitate assessment processes Promote documentation governance and standards across teams Recommend improvements in templates, processes and stakeholder briefings in line with sector norms Assist workforce planning through robust document version control About You 3–5 years’ experience in writing and refining position or duty statements—preferably in HR, workforce planning, or organisational design Strong analytical and research capability for job analysis and evaluation Demonstrated understanding of capability frameworks, documentation governance and compliance Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Experience within structured or public sector environments Proficiency using document management systems and familiarity with process documentation Understanding of classification systems and change management principles Experience in developing and improving templates and documentation processes Familiarity with NSW Public Sector Capability Framework (or equivalent) Ability to adapt templates and tools from sector role description resources Must have full Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or long-term visa holders) As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
