Job Description About the Role The Policy Advisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining organisational and program specific policies and procedural documentation. In this role, you will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, government policies, and contractual obligations. Your work will play a vital role in supporting our administrative and operational functions by providing clear, consistent guidance that enables teams to deliver high-quality services to our clients. Primary accountabilities will include but are not limited to : Develop organisational policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and industry best practices. Contribute to the tendering and roll-out of Marist180 programs by developing policies and procedures that guide service delivery and related internal functions. Undertake research into best practices and consult with internal and external stakeholders. Subject matter expert for the organisations policies and procedures. Monitor, evaluate, and report on compliance with regulations and internal controls across a range of Marist180 programs, including highlighting potential breaches of contract or areas of unmanaged compliance risk. Advise on legislation and industrial instrument obligations and changes Provide quality support and coordination for external audits and accreditations. Quality control all approved policy, procedure, guidelines, manuals and form documentation Provide governance support, maintaining COI register, Contracts register etc Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in relevant field e.g LLB, Social Policy, Social Science, Governance etc. Experience & Skills: Advanced experience in drafting policy and procedural documents. Prior experience in OOHC sector or youth/child protection services desirable. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and prompting a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications relating to legal services or compliance desirable. Work Requirement: Current Working with Children Check. Clear National Criminal History Check. Unrestricted NSW driver’s license. Current First Aid and CPR certificate. Eligibility to work in Australia. Provide Marist180 consent to complete a verification of the Residential Care Workers Register managed by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
