Payroll Lead - Australia, NZ & PNG | Brisbane-Based Are you ready to take the lead on a critical function with international scope? Peopleconnexion is looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to oversee our contractor payroll operations across Australia, NZ and Papua New Guinea , based out of our Brisbane office. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role with the support of a well-established team and a comprehensive handover from our current Payroll Lead, who has been with us for the past 8 years. The Role As our Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for: Managing end-to-end payroll for our PX staff and growing contractor workforce in Australia, NZ and PNG. Leading and mentoring a team of three support staff. Overseeing payroll compliance, reporting, and process improvements across all 3 jurisdictions. Ensuring timely submission of statutory obligations (e.g. PAYG, Superannuation etc) to relevant third parties Playing a key role in our upcoming payroll system migration —you'll help shape the way payroll is structured moving forward. Supporting month-end financial processes, with a focus on detail and accuracy. We're seeking someone with: Strong payroll experience, ideally with systems such as Astute , Attache , or Xemplo . Advanced Excel skills A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of legislative regulations for Australian, NZ and PNG payrolls. Any background in accounting or finance would be highly beneficial. A willingness to be hands-on during the initial training and handover period. Why Join Us?
