The Opportunity This is a good opportunity to join a high-performing team in a busy financial operations environment. This team has multiple vacancies at the APS4 or 5 levels. You'll gain exposure to a range of processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchase Orders, while continuing to develop professionally. What’s on offer: Work in a central Canberra location with a hybrid arrangement (up to 2 days WFH after onboarding) A 12-month non-ongoing contract with strong potential for permanency Opportunity to collaborate across the department and broaden your APS experience The Role In these APS4 and APS5 level roles, you’ll support financial operations by delivering a range of key processes. You’ll work independently with support from your team and team leader. Duties include: Processing accounts payable, treasury transactions and issuing AR invoices Maintaining accurate vendor and customer records Undertaking debt recovery and receipting tasks Supporting bank reconciliations and financial reporting activities The Ideal Person Ideally, you will be an experienced Finance Officer with a background in AP and AR. You may have worked in finance, audit, administration, payroll, or similar roles where you’ve dealt with numbers, processed invoices, and engaged with stakeholders. You’re someone who: Has strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities Can work independently and pick things up quickly Feels confident engaging with stakeholders and suggesting improvements To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
