The key duties of the position include The Role Indo-Pacific Infrastructure Branch, Pacific Division is seeking to fill a vacancy within the Infrastructure East Directorate (InfraE). As a Director, you will exercise a significant degree of independence and perform an important leadership role within the Branch. You will be responsible for influencing and developing strategies, policies, priorities and operational practices in support of Defence objectives based on high level decision making and judgement. You will provide strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders as well as leading and assuming accountability for very complex work or work programs that have strategic, political and operational significance. You must have extensive knowledge and experience in Infrastructure Project Management, delivery and maintenance and have the ability to translate strategy into delivery. You will provide a strategic level of professional and technical expertise, relating to the work of different function areas within Defence. You will initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with a network of stakeholders internally and externally to Defence and will have the ability to recognise shared agendas and work toward mutually beneficial outcomes. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team The Pacific Division (PACDIV) is an exciting Division formed within the Strategy, Policy & Industry (SP&I) Group, consisting of four Branches. This position within the Indo-Pacific Infrastructure Branch, manages the delivery and maintenance of security-related facilities and infrastructure for partner nations. The Branch is supported by various roles and functions including APS and ADF Engineers, Finance, Contract, Program and Project Management, and Business Management. Indo-Pacific Infrastructure Branch have a respected and trusted network of relationships with internal and external stakeholders that we leverage to develop effective solutions to challenges and to deliver on the needs of Defence and our Pacific Partners.
