We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Development Manager (Electrical) to join our team in Perth, WA on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Development, you will take a leading role in solution design and technical decision making for a career-defining project in the Pilbara region of WA. The role will focus on developing multi-user transmission infrastructure in the Pilbara from pre-concept through to final investment decision. The final transmission design may be delivered in stages driven by customer need and may be on an EPC / D&C or multi-contract basis. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with core project team to identify skills and workstreams needed to develop and deliver the project. Lead technical feasibility and design workstreams while managing and empowering internal resources and external consultants to innovate, challenge and create solutions Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technically and commercially feasible solutions which meet both customer, owner and investor requirements Communicate effectively with colleagues and project team members with an aim of accelerating problem solving, risk mitigation and innovation Operate and communicate with the highest degree of integrity, honesty and respect for colleagues and external stakeholders Establish and maintain a management approach to ensure workstreams (engineering, procurement, estimators, schedulers, etc.) meet crucial milestones Your background Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and experience in high voltage transmission infrastructure Well-developed communication and influencing skills Proven development experience in the power generation and transmission and/or renewable energy sectors Experience and demonstrated success in new and unfamiliar situations Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
