ABOUT THE ROLE The Patient Services Administration Officer plays an integral role within the team, coordinating a range of pre-admission functions, ultimately ensuring a smooth end-to-end process for inbound patients. Reporting to the Patient Services Team Leader, this role will see the successful candidate working closely with internal departments, as well as key externals (such as insurance organisations, government stakeholders, and medical providers). This role is suited to a dedicated and diligent candidate, with a keenness to learn and grow within their medical administration skillset. You will also support with duties across patient admissions including undertaking private health fund checks, patient bookings, monitoring data in the patient database, reporting and other administrative duties across patient admissions. DUTIES Liaise with internal teams (e.g. billing, finance) to resolve key matters Communicate with key external stakeholders, such as medical insurers and provider contracts Discuss key details with inbound patients, such as informed financial consent, ex-gratia, and fee estimates Assist with pre-admission and bookings processes and documentation Ensure a seamless experience for inbound patients, with particular regard to financial matters SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Strong communication skills, written and verbal Customer/patient-focused mindset and approach Excellent time management and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and willingness to learn/grow Exposure to medical administration processes, procedures or systems would be highly regarded Previous experience working in the medical/healthcare sector would be highly advantageous BENEFITS Access to employee salary packaging, maximising your take home pay!
