Indigeco is partnering with a national education not-for-profit to appoint a Program Lead to guide and deliver a high-impact mentoring initiative designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. About the Program This career mentoring program empowers secondary school students to strengthen cultural identity, build confidence, and explore career pathways through storytelling, creativity, and culturally safe learning experiences. The Opportunity As the Program Lead, you will have strategic oversight and operational responsibility for this transformative program. You will work closely with internal teams, schools, community partners, and corporate stakeholders to create an environment that is culturally safe, inclusive, and impactful. Key Responsibilities Lead program development, implementation, and continuous improvement. Embed cultural protocols and responsive practices across all program activities. Build strong partnerships with schools, community leaders, and corporate supporters. Guide planning, logistics, and delivery in collaboration with internal teams. Promote cultural safety and awareness throughout the organisation. Manage reporting, evaluation, and compliance with funding requirements. Advise the CEO and Board on program strategy and growth opportunities. Key Requirements: Background in education, youth development, or community programs. Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues. Skilled in building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including schools and communities. Confident communicator able to engage with senior executives, boards, and partners. Strategic thinker with experience managing program delivery and evaluation. Ability to mentor others and build cultural competence within teams. Qualifications in education, community development, or related fields. Experience working in social impact sectors. Familiarity with funding partnerships and reporting obligations.
