APEX Geoscience is an international consulting company with offices in Perth, Australia and Vancouver and Edmonton, Canada. We provide professional geological services for clients around the world working on most commodities in politically stable jurisdictions. Our international team currently comprises more than 100 geologists, geophysicists and geotechnologists ranging from 0-30 years of mineral exploration experience. Our services include project management (grassroots to feasibility), property assessment, resource estimates, project generation, prospecting and sampling, mapping, desktop and GIS studies, ground geophysical surveying and processing, airborne geophysics processing and interpretation, and report writing including JORC and NI 43-101 compliance. APEX is currently seeking a database/office Geologist with 3 years of experience for data management for various mineral exploration projects. This exciting opportunity with a consulting company will allow the successful candidates to experience a wide range of projects and commodities, expanding their geological knowledge base. The following position is available for immediate start at our Fremantle based office: Full time office-based position (Monday to Friday) Flexible working hours Competitive remuneration Anticipated duties will include: Compiling historical data and populating into a database template Data management of active exploration and mining activities Integrating logging software with database Validation of drilling data Report writing and review (detailed documentation of the database and its sources) Provide updates to client and external database managing company The successful candidates will have: A degree in Geology Residency or similar status to work in Australia (based in Perth or surrounding areas) 3 years of relevant work experience and/or demonstrable skills. Familiarity with relational databases and experience with OCRIS considered an asset Experience with coding languages such as python, C++, etc. is desirable Experience in ArcGIS, QGIS and Micromine is desirable Be very well organised and have the ability to work independently. Strong administrative and problem solving skills Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail Strong communication and personal skills Hold a valid Australian manual C class drivers license Office hours are flexible to allow for family commitments The remuneration package will be commensurate with experience and the current market.
