A bit about your role NBN Co is delivering a significant fibre upgrade program in the ACT which will give ACT homes and businesses greater access to faster and more reliable full fibre nbn. The ACT Engagement Manager, reporting to the General Manager of State Government Relations, will implement public relations strategies and manage stakeholder engagement throughout the various project stages. This role involves leading government, industry, and community engagement efforts, ensuring effective communication, collaboration and participation in the Fibre Upgrade Program. The manager will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, members of Parliament, government agencies and industry groups. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies, proactive engagement with key stakeholders in the ACT, collaborating with internal teams, organizing meetings and community events and monitor community engagement and sentiment. The role requires problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and excellent communication abilities. A bit about you You will be a highly motivated individual with extensive knowledge and experience in stakeholder engagement, enjoying both the strategic and tactical elements of the job. You should have demonstrated experience working with external stakeholders, such as community groups, government agencies, Members of Parliament, and industry groups. Current and favourable relationships with key stakeholders in the ACT is highly desirable. Additionally, you must possess highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to persuade, influence, and respond to a range of stakeholders. Your problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and presentation abilities will be crucial for success in this role. If this role interests you, you likely have a tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Policy, Public Relations, Business/Marketing, or a related discipline. Proven years of experience in a similar outward-facing customer or community stakeholder role, building relationships with key stakeholders and communities, involving complex stakeholder environments or demonstrable community and stakeholder experience.
