Job Description - Lead the administration of Peoplesoft applications, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades to maintain optimal performance and security standards. - Develop and implement best practices for Peoplesoft system architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability in response to business needs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance through effective problem-solving and technical solutions. - Oversee Peoplesoft security management, role management, and compliance with industry standards. - Mentor and guide junior administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team. - Conduct regular performance tuning and maintenance activities, leveraging monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues. - Serve as the primary point of contact for Peoplesoft-related inquiries from stakeholders, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction and operational efficiency. - Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines. - Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution to safeguard data and system integrity. Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities Required and Preferred Qualifications Required: - AGSVA security clearance to NV level. - Proven expertise in managing Peoplesoft applications across various modules. - Strong understanding of Peoplesoft architecture and components, including PeopleTools and Data Mover. - Experience with database management systems, particularly Oracle or DB2. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Strong knowledge of Peoplesoft modules, database structures, and integration points. - Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred: - Experience with Peoplesoft HCM and Payroll modules. - Hands-on experience with cloud-based Peoplesoft deployments (i.e. Oracle OCI). - Relevant certifications in Peoplesoft administration or related fields. Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies - Deep understanding of Peoplesoft architecture and its components. - Experience with middleware technologies for integration (e.g., Integration Broker, Web Services). - Familiarity with performance tuning techniques for database optimization. - Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT service management. - Familiarity with Peoplesoft Application Designer, Application Engine, and PeopleCode. - Solid understanding of SQL and ability to write queries. - Experience with data migration and system integration processes. - Familiarity with reporting tools such as BI Publisher or PS Query. - Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to enhance system functionality.
