Systems Administrator – 12-Month Contract Location: Hybrid (Canberra-based) Contract Duration: 12 months Security Clearance: Baseline Clearance required We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Systems Administrator to join a collaborative IT team on a 12-month contract supporting critical infrastructure and projects in a secure, Agile environment. This hybrid role , based in Canberra , offers the opportunity to work on a range of technical systems in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support IT systems, ensuring uptime, performance, and security. Manage infrastructure including servers (Windows/Linux), networks, storage, and backups. Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus tools, and other security protocols. Provide end-user support for hardware and software issues. Maintain technical documentation and assist in the development of user guides. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to support project deliverables. Continuously assess and implement system improvements and new technologies. What You’ll Bring: 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in Agile, multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency with Windows/Linux servers , network infrastructure , VMware/Hyper-V , and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Strong knowledge of IT security , including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and documentation abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network/Security , Azure Administrator , etc.).
