We are currently looking to recruit a Desktop Home Assessors Team Leader within their Claims team, based in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne. Your new role You will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the Desktop Home Assessing Team, who are responsible for virtual assessments of impacted properties, cost validation and end-to-end management of claims assigned to them. You will be responsible for organizing ongoing training and coaching to the team, and ensuring that the Desktop Home Assessors are consistent and effective in their approach to virtual assessments and validation of scopes of works. What you’ll need to be successful Experience managing a team is essential. Experience in home assessing and/or the building industry is essential. Previous insurance and/or estimating experience is desirable. Construction trade qualifications OR working in a similar position is essential. Strong People Leadership, including your proven development of people through providing guidance and support, performance managing, coaching and mentoring. Effective Cost Control, implementation and refinement of cost control strategies, identifying areas of improvement and delivering planned cost outcomes. Relationship Management, including building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Performance and Progress reporting experience, including tracking, monitoring and reporting on KPIs to ensure productivity and quality metrics meet expectations.
