About the Role The Segment Sales Lead – Power Generation & Smart Grid Solutions (ANZ) is a senior commercial sales role responsible for driving growth across key solution areas including generation systems, digital substations, HV technologies, and grid control platforms. Working across energy utilities, infrastructure developers, and government partners, you will lead customer engagement, bid strategy, and segment performance for the region. This role will be key in achieving revenue targets, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships. You will collaborate closely with internal engineering, pre-sales, marketing, and delivery teams to align commercial outcomes with customer needs and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Drive sales strategy, revenue targets, and customer development across ANZ for generation and grid solutions. Manage strategic accounts, sales cycles, and partner relationships across utility, energy, and public sectors. Lead pipeline generation, opportunity qualification, and pursuit planning for priority opportunities. Develop market insights and go-to-market strategies across segment focus areas. Shape tender responses, solution positioning, and value-based selling approaches. Influence pricing, channel strategy, and portfolio investment plans. Support negotiation of commercial terms, pricing, and service models. Collaborate with engineering and pre-sales teams to tailor solutions to client needs. Deliver accurate forecasting, reporting, and sales performance reviews to leadership. Business Coverage This role supports commercial outcomes across: Power Generation – gas turbines, distributed energy, hybrid and renewable systems Grid Infrastructure – HV switchgear, transformers, substations, and control systems Smart Grid – SCADA, grid automation, and digital substations Public & Private Sector Projects – utilities, critical infrastructure, and EPCs Sales Strategy – account management, segment planning, commercial negotiation Marketing & Partnerships – brand positioning, customer engagement, and channel enablement Candidate Profile Essential: 8 years’ experience in B2B sales, segment leadership, or business development within energy, engineering, or infrastructure. Strong technical understanding of power systems, grid infrastructure, or energy automation technologies. Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipelines, major bids, and commercial negotiations. Experience working with utilities, public sector, or infrastructure clients. Excellent stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or related disciplines.
