This is a rare opportunity to join a leader in the Financial Services sector, who have a strong name in Australia and New Zealand market. Due to growth and a strong strategic finance plan they are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to report directly into the Head of Finance. Working closely with the Senior Finance team, you will be responsible for a varied range of financial activities, often focusing on listed reporting activity. Utilise your financial accounting skills and advisory mindset, you will work with key stakeholders across the business to apply your technical skillset. Responsibilities include the following Preparation of group and subsidiary statutory accounts Performing month end accounting activities incl group consolidation and preparation of cashflow statement Co-ordination of external audit incl half year and full year audits Preparation of technical accounting papers Coordination of Groups APRA, ABS and reporting obligations Leading special projects and participating in M&A activity Monitoring day to day responsibilities for Financial Accountant Maintaining key working relationships across Finance, Treasury and the broader business Preferred background is someone who is a CA (possibly CPA) who has worked in financial services most recently or first time mover from Chartered at the Manager bracket. You will have good stakeholder management skills, presentation and communication. Your key skills are in technical accounting including IFRS / Australian Accounting Standards. This is a hands on position that will suit someone who enjoys a varied role and has adaptable accounting experience.
