Salary: $70k - $85k super (depending on experience) Location: Sydney CBD with some work-from-home options available Responsibilities include: Process and verify supplier invoices Validate contracts, orders, and vouchers to confirm transactions before payments. Communicate with suppliers, ensuring timely dispatch of remittance advices. Assist in cash flow management and coordinate payment schedules with managers. Maintain an electronic filing system for payments and invoices, including preparing cash flow reports. Process journal entries and prepare monthly profit and loss statements including associated reconciliations and documentation of business transactions. Assist in preparing monthly profit and loss reports and balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile daily takings, banking, and all front office ledgers. Perform bank reconciliations and verify trust account reconciliations. Process payroll, including timesheet input and management reporting. Assist accountants with the preparation, lodgement, and payment of payroll tax, PAYG, BAS, and other statutory payments. Perform checks and balances, between bank, PMS, and general ledgers. Collect outstanding ledger accounts and provide AR reports. Conduct internal audits as required and alert management to potential internal control weaknesses or risks. Perform other duties within the employee’s competence as required by management. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance. Progress towards CPA/CA (or equivalent) accounting professional qualification is preferred. 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial and management accounting, with strong Excel skills. Experience in a finance team based in a centralised hub, with communication and reporting to an international corporate office, is preferred. Familiarity with financial systems and tools Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Ability to work independently and within a team across multiple functions and departments. Preferable experience in the hotel/hospitality industry.
